FIRE ROASTED LAMB - Observed on the Sabbath

In the 10th Plague of Egypt the Angel of Death "passed over" the blood of the lamb on the door posts of the houses of Israel. A foreshadowing of Jesus Christ's atoning sacrifice we continue to commemorate the Exodus of the Israelites from slavery and God's ultimate plan for Salvation.

FIRE ROASTED LAMB - Observed on the Sabbath

About the event

Passover Feast - Fire Roasted BBQ Lamb, with Flatbread and Bitter Herbs (Rosemary, Rocket, Salsa Verde)

In the Torah (Old Testament), families would roast on fire, an entire spotless first born lamb - as instructed by God.

They would break no bones in the animal, as Jesus's bones were not broken in the crucifixion. Demonstrating that Jesus's death was a divine plan to offer perfect salvation from sin. Just as the unblemished lamb in Exodus provided protection from judgment, 'these things were done that the Scripture should be fulfilled. ' - John 19:36.

Placing the blood on the doorpost of their homes, the Angel of death passed over them. Just as the blood of Jesus covers believers, allowing God's judgment to "pass over" them.

God instructed that none of the animal remain, come morning. And if too much to eat, the lamb should be shared between families. Any left, must…

11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
